Kat was born and raised in northern New Jersey and completed her BA in Interdisciplinary Studies: Psychology and Outdoor Adventure Leadership, at Sierra Nevada College in 2013. She attended graduate school at California Southern University and obtained her MA in Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy in 2021. Kat currently holds a CPC-Intern license in the state of NV and plans to be fully licensed as a CPC and LADC in NV by October of 2023. She guides her psychotherapy sessions with a person-centered approach, integrating CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, humanistic, existential, and behavioral techniques as appropriate. Kat trusts that human connection, positive regard, empathy, compassion, and a strong therapeutic relationship are critical components of change and growth.
